A not insignificant advantage of the Sam Khok diet is my ability to eat at will when away from Sam Khok, as I did this weekend at the Amphawa floating market in Samut Songkram province.

Last night we had an ATC company party, our first of 2009. My assistant Aom, pictured above, has just graduated from college, so we celebrated at one of the ubiquitous riverside restaurants here on the northern outskirts of Bangkok.

I have a busy week coming up at the Masters Tournament, and have been preparing for the grueling course maintenance work by some cross-training at Hawaii and a five mile race in Dallas this morning.

I was at Hawaii last week to speak at the USGA Green Section regional seminar, to play golf, and to meet friends and family. Each time I visit Hawaii I am reminded of what a great place it is, and this was an especially good visit.
