May Golf Report
It was a good month for birdies. I had two in Sri Lanka and two in Japan, but the birdies, unfortunately, came easier than the victories this month. Not wanting to be an ungracious visitor, I did not allow my 3-up lead after 15 holes to stand, at Sri Lanka, settling happily for a drawn match.
Then at Japan I birdied the 1st and the 14th, putting myself in danger of finishing atop the leaderboard in what would have been an egregious breach of protocol in the club competion – carefully hitting my tee shots out-of-bounds on 16, 17, and 18 ensured that I would finish near the bottom of the leaderboard.
But don’t worry. I’m on the cusp of of another string of victories. I’ve been working hard, taking a close look at grass, cross-training, climbing mountains, and preparing for some big matches coming up this month.
